Local MP helps local school on charity day (Friday 4 October)
Alan Keen MP was invited to visit Heath Junior School to watch the 6th
Year children making a presentation to the rest of the school and parents in a
special effort to raise money to help a range of charities that support
children who have genetic diseases and disorders.
Alan told the children how impressed he was by the presentation. "I
am so impressed by the unlimited abilities of young people nowadays and it was
not easy for them to tackle such a difficult subject as this. The staff also
deserves credit for the guidance they must have given. It was a special
pleasure to be able to wear jeans today instead of the usual collar and tie
that MP's are expected to wear on most visits".
