Beavers Farm Litterbug Convicted

MP praises court decision to fine litterbugs

Local MP Alan Keen welcomed the conviction on the 18th of June, against the individual responsible for the accumulations of rubbish next to the Beavers Farm Shopping parade. Mr Keen had received many complaints from residents and had worked closely with the local authority to bring the full force of the law on the people responsible for allowing the area to become so dirty and full of rubbish. The fine imposed by the court should act as a deterrent to landlords who are not willing to act responsibly towards their tenants and the community around them.

Alan Keen said,

“This is one of the worst and most persistent cases of fly-tipping and inadequate care of commercial premises I have ever seen. The courts have taken the right decision to impose a large fine on the offender who has caused a lot of problems for the shopkeepers and residents of this area over an extended period".

Ends.
